About the role

We are seeking a passionate and innovative Manager, Learning Design to lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of enterprise-wide learning solutions. This pivotal role will drive capability, performance, and alignment with Alinta Energy’s strategic priorities, embedding best-practice learning design standards and frameworks across the organisation.

What you’ll do

  • Develop and embed a consistent, enterprise-wide learning design framework that aligns with our strategic goals and capability needs.
  • Lead the design, governance, and delivery of learning programs and digital assets for onboarding, compliance, leadership, and role-specific capability, ensuring solutions are inclusive and measurable.
  • Drive innovation in learning by leveraging technology, staying current with trends, and implementing approaches like gamification, simulations, and AI-enabled learning.
  • Champion visually engaging and contemporary design, incorporating graphics, intuitive layouts and modern aesthetics to enhance learner experience and reinforce brand identity.
  • Provide effective leadership and coaching to direct reports, manage learning design projects, and foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture.

Your experience

  • Extensive experience in curriculum and instructional design, adult learning principles, and leading enterprise-wide learning programs.
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Education, Instructional Design, Organisational Development, or a related field, plus Cert IV TAE.
  • Strong skills in digital learning tools and platforms (e.g. LMS, Articulate Storyline, Adobe Creative Suite).
  • Proven ability in stakeholder engagement, project management, and developing learning design standards and frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with familiarity in compliance and safety training
