About the role

The Senior Information Security Analyst role is available as a full-time or 4 days part-time (0.8) permanent position in either Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide or Perth. The role reports to the Manager, Security Governance, and is a mix of cyber security and regulatory compliance. The Senior Information Security Analyst will actively assess security controls and identify any organisational risks to be further mitigated, in addition to working on projects to build up the team’s capability.

What you’ll do

  • Provide subject matter expertise and strategic guidance on information security risks and controls
  • Lead the implementation and continuous improvement of the information security program
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure security requirements are integrated into projects and initiatives
  • Conduct security assessments, audits, and reviews to identify information security risks
  • Actively manage and facilitate gathering of evidence for regulatory and cyber security audits

Your experience

  • Knowledge and experience with relevant Cyber Security Control frameworks - ISO 27001, AESCSF, NIST, Essential 8, CIS Critical Controls
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cyber Security or related field
  • Good understanding and experience in a security compliance, audit, infrastructure architecture, design and deployment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, with a collaborative and inclusive approach and the ability to influence and drive change across the organisation
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively and a willingness to adapt to changing business needs and technologies
  • Good understanding and experience in effective ITIL processes such as Request, Change, Incident and Problem management
  • CISA or CISSP or equivalent certification is desirable but not required
