About the role

As our Manager, Future Workforce and Talent you will lead the delivery of enterprise-wide initiatives across talent management, workforce planning, and early talent engagement in this strategic focused position that will help shape the workforce of the future

In this key role, you’ll collaborate closely with the Future Workforce and Learning & Development Leadership Team to design and embed frameworks that support Alinta Energy’s evolving workforce needs. You’ll play a key part in driving innovation, building capability, and ensuring our people are ready for what’s next.

What you’ll do

  • Design and embed enterprise-wide talent frameworks aligned to strategic workforce needs, including succession planning and high-potential programs.
  • Drive strategic workforce planning by forecasting future needs, assessing current capabilities, and maintaining accurate dashboards and reports.
  • Collaborate with HR and L&D teams to integrate talent insights, implement upskilling programs, and support career pathway development.
  • Leverage data and reporting to measure program success, address skills and labour shortages, and inform workforce decisions.
  • Support EVP and employer branding initiatives, partnering with the Talent Acquisition function to deliver campaigns and build external relationships.
  • Champion stakeholder engagement and integration, ensuring alignment across business units and adapting initiatives based on impact and feedback.

Your experience

  • Proven experience in strategic workforce planning, talent management, and future workforce strategy
  • Strong background as a trusted business partner, with the ability to influence and collaborate across senior leadership
  • Expertise in designing and delivering enterprise-wide talent and succession programs
  • Skilled in building partnerships with education and industry institutions to support workforce initiatives
  • Proficient in data analysis, workforce forecasting, and presenting insights to executive audiences
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder engagement skills in dynamic environments
